Lange hete zomers met relatief koele nachten en korte winters waarin ook sneeuw valt, kenmerken deze streek.
June, July and August are of course the warmest months, with June being special because of the fresh green of spring and the long evenings. Many Savonese and Genoese live in their houses in our region in the summer “so they can sleep well at night”, while during the day they go to work from here. In spring and autumn the temperature difference between day and night is much greater than in the Netherlands: during the day in the sun a T-shirt is sufficient, while at night it can still be really chilly.
