It is Easter. Sander disappears into the garden after a healthy Easter breakfast. A little further in the morning, he returns. Our neighbour was out walking with his family (a unique occurrence) and found Sander pruning in the garden and actually manages to convince Sander that Easter really is a day off. As a result, half an hour later, Sander and I are also pleasantly walking to a hamlet further up Lodisio. We enjoy the beautiful scenery and wonderful views and are amazed that up and on the other side of the mountain it is already much greener than in our valley. Along the way, we meet our other neighbours. We get acquainted 5 metres away: they talking from their balconies and we on the street, getting to know their names: Carlo, Gino, Olga and their entire animal ensemble, and continue on our way. We eventually end up at the top of the mountain at a beautiful old cemetery in Lodisio (località Piana Crixia) with a beautiful view surrounded by flowers and fields. There is very invitingly a pump with running water, but, frankly, even in this lovely place, I wonder if we should drink from that (had I sincerely not doubted it a few weeks ago).

After Easter, Sander and I go back to work. Every morning we start very early together at the kitchen table in the Mulino doing our work for NL. Sander then leaves in the afternoon to continue working in the garden. On Thursday, however, we both work long hours until, around 15.00, we decide it's time for a cup of coffee. Just as we settle down together in the sunshine on the terrace, through the trees and bushes in the distance, I spot a yellow car with red lettering driving in our direction on the road... I shout incredulously, “I see DHL”. Sander immediately jumps up and runs on his flip-flops with Dasti and me in his wake towards the big house (anyone who has seen the Pian del Nasso video understands that you're on your way for a while) and just as Sander arrives at the front door, he can just stop the delivery man who was already walking back to his car to leave. We shouldn't have had coffee a minute (actually second) later either! Incredibly, the parcel from NL has arrived!!! We are really ecstatic and are really standing here doing a lap dance. How nice is this and what a sense of freedom this gives: we can order stuff from the Netherlands!!! Because here, apart from food, we really can't get anything for the time being. In the supermarkets there are even ribbons around products that do not appear to be basic necessities, such as garden soil, kitchen utensils, socks, pants, etc. But so now we can order from NL and out of the test package from the Netherlands emerged all sorts of delights: a box of Easter eggs and four bags of mint liquorice! How happy we are. We'll be in party mood for the rest of the week!
