Everything we no longer need in our home we give away or take to the thrift shop. We don't quite get around to transporting it. The house on Pian del Nasso definitely needs to be ‘freshened up’ (read: cleaned, painted, etc.) and it's not convenient if the removal van is then directly on the doorstep with our furniture. We decide to have the removal van drive to Italy a month after our arrival on 16 April and drive to Italy ourselves earlier with a small truck carrying tools, garden furniture and basic necessities like medicine, food, clothes, etc. We go on a (garden) furniture hunt for our holiday homes with the design of our logo and personalisation of the previous owner's website.

Meanwhile, the first sounds of a certain Corona virus in China reach us...

Our diary is really bursting at the seams with work, appointments with the mover, the taxman, the accountant, with the restaurant for our party, the website, the renovation at Pian de Nasso. Changes of address have to be arranged for the suppliers of our house, for my company, for the suppliers of the premises in Utrecht, for customers who have their mail delivered to our address.....
